Lars & Maki Nielsen
Lars Nielsen, L.Ac., Dipl. OM. is nationally certified in acupuncture and herbal medicine. He has been a student of Tai Chi and Qigong for the past 25 years. Lars earned his Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
He is certified and licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and holds certifications from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Oriental Medicine.
Maki Tanaka, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. specializes in the gentle techniques of Japanese style acupuncture and and moxibustion. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She also has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Tulane University. Maki is certified and licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Rachael Ogden, L.Ac., Dipl. OM.
Rachael is licensed by the California Acupuncture Board. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She studied at both the San Diego and New York campuses. She has a passion for the profession and is committed to helping people achieve health through acupuncture. Her interest in Chinese Medicine began after a study abroad trip to China, amazed by the effectiveness of acupuncture treatments being conducted at the Beijing Sport University. Before becoming an acupuncturist Rachael earned her Bachelors degree in Clinical Exercise Science and worked as a personal trainer. She still maintains a passion for fitness and helping other achieve their goals.
Brittney Petchell, Licensed Massage Therapist
Born and raised in Escondido, Brittney Petchell has always had a passion for helping others. Brittney graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Kaplan College in 2013 and has been helping others in her community reduce pain with massage ever since. She specializes in deep tissue massage but also has significant experience with other techniques such as Swedish massage, Trigger Point therapy and therapeutic stretching.

Kathleen Macken, Licensed Massage Therapist
Kathleen Macken graduated from Kauai Community College Massage Therapy Program in 2012. She offers a combination of modalities in each session, including Lomi Lomi, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, and Thai stretching, depending on the needs of the client. She loves being able to bring a bit of relief and relaxation to each person she works on and enjoys being a small part in someone’s healing journey.
When she is not working, you can find her working towards her black belt in martial arts, taking her two kids to their various extra curricular activities, at the beach, fundraising for PRISMS (Parents and Researchers Interested in Smith-Magenis Syndrome), snuggling with her dog, or on a date at the comedy club, with her husband.
